To ensure the security of your data, we treat the information you have provided to us with absolute confidentiality, in accordance with our internal security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and we do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. The Vila Galé Group engages only those third-party providers that implement appropriate technical and organizational measures. Vila Galé governs the scope, duration, nature, and purpose of the processing, the types of personal data, the categories of data subjects, and the rights and obligations of the parties; it may also engage third parties to send emails and SMS messages.

The Vila Galé Group may transfer collected personal data internally and internationally within its organization to better tailor the provision and convenience of its services. The Vila Galé Group has implemented appropriate safeguards for the international transfer of personal data through a legal mechanism known as "standard data protection clauses," which is recommended and adopted by the European Commission and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority.

For what purposes are your personal data used?

The Vila Galé Group uses the collected information to carry out room reservation processes; enter into accommodation contracts; facilitate the purchase of vouchers, products, services, and treatments; manage customer relations; serve historical and statistical purposes; provide access to customer areas; comply with legal obligations; handle billing; and manage information requests.

The processing of personal data is a necessary condition for the provision of services and the sale of products.

In addition to these purposes, we use the collected information to tailor our products and services to our customers; to send information, promotions, and rewards based on stays—at the data subject's request—via newsletter, email, SMS, or telephone call; and to send satisfaction surveys and quality control assessments regarding our service.

These communications relate to products and services offered by Vila Galé or by partners with whom we have an agreement, and do not constitute a legal or contractual obligation. When processing is based on consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The subsequent withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on that consent.

Personal Data is collected when the interested party subscribes to our newsletter, registers on the Website, requests contact or information, purchases a product, or enters into a contract with the Vila Galé Group. Standard Personal Data is collected—such as name, gender, date of birth, telephone and mobile numbers, email, address, and tax ID (CPF)—along with other data necessary for service provision or billing.

Automated decisions, such as profiling, may be used to better tailor our offerings to our customers' needs and enable members of the Vila Galé Club to receive specific promotions and benefits.

The grounds for legitimacy allowing the Vila Galé Group to process user data are: visitors' voluntary access and browsing; the Vila Galé Group's compliance with legal obligations, where applicable; the execution of contracts; and—subject to the customer's consent or the applicability of legitimate interest—the sending of information.

Who can you contact to access, rectify, or delete the data?

Our clients and visitors have varying privacy concerns and may, at any time, review, update, and decide which data they wish to have stored. They are guaranteed the right to confirm the existence of data processing, to access their data, and to correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data; the right to the anonymization, blocking, or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in non-compliance with the law; the right to data portability to another service or product provider upon express request, in accordance with national authority regulations and subject to trade and industrial secrets; the right to the deletion of personal data processed based on the data subject's consent, except in cases provided for by law; the right to be informed about public and private entities with which the controller has shared data; the right to information regarding the option to withhold consent and the consequences thereof; and the right to revoke consent. In the Customer Area – My Vila Galé, – on our website, you can view and manage certain types of information associated with your account, view and edit your preferences, and request the deletion or portability of your personal data simply by entering your User ID and password. 

How long is the data stored?

Personal data is retained until the purpose for which it is processed has been fulfilled. In the case of customer data, it will be deleted two years after the last interaction with our services or hotels, or—if applicable and occurring at a later date—for as long as the customer participates in a Vila Galé loyalty program. Legal provisions may require the retention of personal data for a longer minimum period.

The data subject may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

E-Mail

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will receive information via email about our promotions and featured offers. If you wish to stop receiving newsletters, you can remove your address from our mailing list by clicking the link found in the footer of each newsletter. If you are a registered customer, you can modify your personal details and edit your preferences at any time by simply entering your username and password in the Customer Area.

Whenever personal information is requested from you, the transmission takes place via a secure SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection—provided you are using an SSL-enabled browser—meaning your information is sent over the Internet in encrypted form. All content on the site vilagale.com (texts, images, and videos) are authorized for use and protected by the Copyright and Related Rights Code. This site may contain links to third-party websites that are not under Vila Galé's control. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to these sites; therefore, we recommend reading the privacy policies found on them.

VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS 

Pursuant to Law No. 34/2013 of May 16 and Ordinance No. 273/2012 of August 20, our hotel properties may employ closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance for the protection of visitors. Notices informing of the presence of these systems are displayed in clearly visible locations within the monitored areas.
